Although the classic Sidecar was originally made with brandy, the Bourbon Sidecar has become a crowd favorite for its perfect balance of sweet and citrus. The Martha’s Reserve Barrel from Woodford Distillery provides just the right balance.

Recipe

• 1-1/2 ounces of Martha’s Barrel Woodford Reserve Bourbon
• 1 ounce orange liqueur, preferably Cointreau
• 1/2 ounce lemon juice sugar for rimming the glass
• Lemon wedge for garnish

Combine the Bourbon, orange liqueur, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass rimmed with sugar. Garnish with the lemon wedge.
