The 2020 Riesling Les Pierrets comes from shingle soils on the plain of Turckheim and an iron-rich limestone parcel in the Rotenberg. The nose displays ripe pear, with lovely notions of salty citrus pith and subtle almond bitterness. The palate is streamlined, smooth and elegant yet highlights lovely apple, pear, and gingerbread notes, all edged with dried lemon peel. The finish is bone-dry and appetizing.
